San José Father/Son "THREE-peats" at MSBL World Series
For the 3rd year in a row, the San José Giants (from the SJMSBL) have captured the top American Division of the Men's Senior Baseball League World Series. It was once again a truly team effort as every member of this 23-man roster contributed to the undefeated (6-0) run through the four game round-robin and the semi-final and championship games. San Jose has now won 16 World Series games in a row dating back to 2016!
Santa Clara Twins Capture 25+ Mountain World Series Crown
The Santa Clara Twins defeated the Westside Bandits 16-1 on Wednesday to capture the 2018 World Series 25+ Mountain Division championship in Arizona.

San José Giants Win 2018 Best in the West 25+
The San José Giants, managed by Chris Chambers, won this year's Best in the West Labor day tournament in Woodland, CA. The Giants outscored their opponents 44-10 over the three-day tournament. The Giants did not give up a single run in the playoffs and defeated the Brew Crew Mets in the championship game 7-0.
National League Rallies for 9-4 All-Star Win
The National League All-Stars rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to win the 2018 SJMSBL Nicewonger All-Star Game 9-4. A six-run rally in the bottom of the 6th put the Nationals in the lead for good.

Schedule Changes For August 19.
The following schedule changes are for August 19.
The 1:30 p.m. game between the Marlins and Royals has been moved from Wilcox to Gavilan.
The 1:30 p.m. game between the Twins and Giants has been moved from Gavilan to Wilcox.
Updates have been made to the Schedule.

The August 26 Nicewonger games scheduled for Soquel have been moved to Fair Oaks.

Reds Pitcher CJ Romero Passes Away
Casildo "CJ" Romero, 22, a pitcher for the Reds suddenly passed away Tuesday, June 5. CJ was from San Jose and went to Archbishop Mitty High School where he played baseball for four years. He attended Menlo College, Ohlone College, and Academy of the Arts University. He won a NorCal section championship at Ohlone and made 1st Team All-Conference as a pitcher in 2017.
CJ loved to produce, write, and perform music on his free time and was a believer that the universe has a plan in place for everyone. He is survived by his older sister Ally and his parents Casildo and Dani.
CJ's family has set up a GoFundMe page to accept donations in lieu of flowers or food. Funds donated will go towards a scholarship in his name at the schools CJ played baseball for.
Gone way too early. R.I.P. CJ.
Former Padre Darryl Jones Passes Away
It's with great sadness that SJMSBL has learned of the passing of former Padre Darryl Jones. Darryl passed on March 29, 2018 from complications due to pneumonia.

2018 Nicewonger All-Star Game Scheduled for August 1
The 2018 Nicewonger All-Star Game has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 1.
The game will take place at San José Municipal Stadium.

San José Giants Win Desert Classic 25+
The San José Giants stormed their way thru the 25+ Division of the 2018 MSBL Desert Classic over the weekend with an undefeated 5-0 record.
The championship game saw the Giants jump all over the undefeated Royals early and often as they won going away 11-0 behind 17 hits. Every hitter in the Giants line-up had at least one hit.
