Overall, a well-played game by both teams, but the staying power of Bobby Camarena, who went all nine after enduring a ten-batter, four-run, mistake-filled first inning, was the difference in this one.

The Giants took a 3-0 first inning lead, then the Marlins scored 8 unanswered runs to go in front 8-3. The Giants chipped away at the lead and finally scored 2 in the 8th to tie the score 8-8 on RBI doubles by Chris Chambers and Don Chambers.

Mike Oliverio opened the 9th with a walk and Phil Thrappas took another free pass. A wild pitch put Oliverio on 3rd and a 2nd wild pitch allowed the walk off run to score to give the Giants a 9-8 win.

Noah Sweeters shut out the Marlins in the final 4 innings for the win.
