The San José Colt 45's (4-9) beat the Santa Cruz Mets (8-6) by a score of 14-13 on Sunday August 2nd at Oak Grove High School in San José, CA. The two teams combined to score 27 runs on 38 hits.

Steve Konkel made his second start of the season and kept the 45's in for 5 innings. The 45's scored 6 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to help Konkel get though the game. Sean Gambill made his third appearance for the 45's and pitched 4 innings of 3 hit ball.
