Forfeit Game - The SJ Angels forfeit the game. Score 9-0.

Santa Cruz - Game 1
Rays 1
Mariners 13
WP: Nuno.
HR >> None.

Adrian Nuno wins his third straight start for the Mariners, pitching to just three hitters over the minimum over the course of his seven-inning complete game. Nuno keeps the ball in the infield the entire game, and the Mariners infield defense is flawless.

The Mariners offense takes advantage of a depleted Rays roster--and several errors--to score in double digits for the first time on the season.

Mariners:
Balise (2-3, 2 Runs, SB), Quirico (2-3, 2 Runs), Macias (2-3, 2 RBI, Run), Eldredge (3-3, 3 RBI, Run), Camarena (2 Runs), Nuno (1-3, W, CG, 7 IP, 7 K, 0 BB, 4 H, 1 ER), Aguirre (1-3, SB, Run), Cobian (1-2, BB, 2 Runs, SB), Gong (1-2, RBI), Gentile (SF, RBI), Eisenberg (2-3, 2B, RBI, Run).

Santa Cruz - Game 2
Mariners 16
Rays 6
WP: Camarena. SV: Aguirre.
HR >> None.

Mariners quickly erase an early 2-0 deficit, eventually building up to a 9-2 lead; however, the Rays give the M's a bit of a scare, as they climb back to within 9-6 with two on and two out in the bottom of the sixth. Closer Angel Aguirre relieves a very effective Ignascio "Bobby" Camarena with the tying run at the plate, and retires Kevin Lynch on a hot shot to third, handled expertly, as usual, by Brian Balise, for the unassisted force play.

The M's take advantage of a worn-out Rays bullpen in the top of the 7th to give themselves some much-needed breathing room, and to finish off the sweep.

Rays are very classy guys, and put forth a valiant effort all day despite missing many key players.

Mariners:
Molieri (1-2, 3B, 2 BB, 2 Run, 2 SB), Quirico (1-2, Run, SB), Scarpa (RBI, Run), Balise (2-3, 2B, BB, RBI, 3 Runs, 3 SB), Eldredge (1-2, 2 HBP, RBI, 3 Runs), Camarena (3-4, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2 Runs, SB, W, 5 2/3 IP, 5 BB, 2 K, 5 H, 1 ER), Macias (3-3, BB, 2 RBI, 2 Runs), Nuno (2 BB, RBI, Run, SB), Aguirre (2-4, 2 RBI, Run, SV, 1 1 /3 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K), Cobian (1-3, BB), Eisenberg (2-4, 2 RBI), Kelly (BB, RBI), Umegaki (1-3, 2B).

Soquel - Game 1
Orioles 3
Braves 13
WP: Codiga.
HR >> None.

O's had a rough second inning defensively and the Braves take full advantage. O's defense would eventually settle down but by then it would be too late.

Orioles:

Soquel - Game 2
Braves 4
Orioles 5
WP: J. Perkins.
HR >> None.

Well played game by both teams. Braves mount a late rally, however it was cut short when the O's turned a game-ending 6-4-3 double play with the tying run at 3rd.

Braves:
Evert (3-4, 2B, 2 Runs, SB), Worthington (2-4, 2 RBI, Run, SB), Bellew (3-4), Lee (RBI), Furutani (6 IP, 0 ER, 4 K).
