Leland - Game 1
Mariners 8
Phillies 5
WP: Nuno.
HR >> Mariners: Camarena.

With #1 starter Danny Saetern recovering from bruised ribs as a result of a nasty collision last week, the Mariners turn to Adrian Nuno, who had only pitched to a few batters thus far for the M's in the regular season. Nuno was up to the task, pitching a 7-inning complete game to lead the Mariners to their first win of the season, and their first win ever over the Phillies, who are now in their third year in the league.

Offensively, the Mariners were led by the red-hot Ignascio "Bobby" Camarena, who goes 3-4 with a lead-taking, game-deciding 2-run homer, his second dinger of the year, both coming at Leland. Camarena keeps his season average at a ridiculous .750.

Nuno also helps his own cause with a 2-2 performance, including a hit by pitch, and an RBI triple, which became a "Little League Home Run", Nuno scoring on a throwing error to third on the play.

Mariners:
Quirico (1-4, SB, 2 Runs), Macias (2-4, RBI, Run), Eldredge (2-4, RBI, Run), Camarena (3-4, HR, 2 RBI, 2 Runs), Nuno (2-2, 3B, HBP, RBI, Run), Cobian (1-3), Nuno (W, CG, 7 IP, 6 K, 4 ER).

Santa Clara - Game 2
Colt .45s 17
Rockies 7
WP: Kaufmann.
HR >> None.

The Colt 45's broke great records on offense and not so great records on the defensive side as the Colt 45's (3-3) beat the San José Rockies (1-5) by a score of 17-7.

RHP Matt Kauffman made his first start for the Colt 45's since 2012 and had to play through hard defense but was able to keep his cool and get the win.

The Colt 45's defense had a franchise high 8 errors, including 6 in the bottom of the 3rd inning, while Kaufmann held the Rockies to only 1 earned run in 4 2/3's innings. After a tough 3rd inning, the Colt 45's decided not to let it phase them by scoring a franchise best 8 runs in the 5th inning (6 on two outs) to finalize the game by winning 17 to 7.

Mike Pence came in relief and was able to no-hit the Rockies through 3 1/3 innings.

The Colt 45's offense stole the show for the day while collecting a franchise best 17 runs on 19 hits, and 4 errors. Albert Garcia led the day going 4-5 with 2 ground-rule doubles. Lee Shaffer also had a big day by going 3-4 with 4 RBI's. Mike Lee, PJ Phillips, and Yanni Shani also had multi-hit games. Twelve different Colt 45's players reached base on the day.
