A match up between future pro baseball players. In his final game as an amateur, Jon Rand pitched a 2-hit gem against the Santa Clara Angels. Rand struck out 5 enroute to his second victory of the season allowing 2 runs on 2 hits. Jon will head to Sonoma where he will play independent professional baseball for the Sonoma Stompers. Jon finishes his amateur career with the Colt 45's with a perfect 7-0 record and a 1.62 ERA.

Mike Pence came in in the 7th to close out the game for his first career save. However, the story of the day may have been outshined by the Colt 45's offense who took on MLB prospect Alex Martinez and scored 8 runs on 9 hits on the day. Mike Lee led the day offensively with two doubles and 2 RBI's.

45's Pitching Duels again.

Game 2 was a lack of run production for the Colt 45's. The 45's had 8 hits and reached on 4 errors, however the Colt 45's could not seem to drive in the runs like they did in Game 1.

Mike Pence started the game great pitching 4 innings but allowing the bases to get loaded in the 5th. Nakagawa did his job however it was not enough for the 45's as it led to the 2nd loss of the year.

Mike Pence led the offense with two hits.

Marlins start out hot with 5 runs in the 1st and cruise to an 8-4 victory. Starter Drew Eramo had a nice start allowing 3 runs over 4 innings. He gets his first W of the season. Nelson Villanueva in relief struck out 4 to close it out.

Aaron Parker had 2 triples and an RBI while scoring 3 times, Ryan Armer had 3 hits and 3 RBI's, and Matt Cooper added 2 hits. Tim Fayle added 3 nice plays at shortstop to shut the door on any potential Braves offense.
