Jerad Berrier threw a complete game while striking out 20 Indians to open the playoffs. At one point, Berrier struck out 8 consecutive hitters.

The Giants scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first on a Nick Caravelli Jr 2-RBI single. The Indians scored an unearned run in the 2nd to cut the lead in half. The scoring slowed until the 6th when the Giants scored 2 more on a deep Chris Chambers sac fly and another RBI single by Nick Caravelli Jr. The Giants scored 4 more in the 9th to put the game away capped by a 2-run pinch-hit big-fly by Jerad Aochi.

The Giants lead the best of 3 series 1-0.

However, O's managed to tie the game at 7 in the fifth, and take the lead 4 runs in the sixth, and another 4 runs in the seventh to take a 15-7. The Braves push across another run in the eighth, but their efforts fall short 15-8.

With the win the Orioles advance to their sixth consecutive Championship.
