Meanwhile, the Phillies took advantage of a huge second inning in which they scored 8 runs and never looked back.

With the Game 1 win the Phillies forced an afternoon game for all the marbles.

Orioles Win Ettare Division Championship

O's build up a modest 4-0 lead in the first three innings, only to see the Phillies take it all back and then some, scoring 8 times in the top of the fourth.

Trailing 10-5 in the 7th the O's bats finally wake up. A total of 13 Orioles hitters stepped in the batter's box that inning banging out 9 hits and scoring 9 runs. The inning was highlighted by Eddie Garcia's double to the left-center field wall that gave the O's the lead. With 2 outs in the eighth Garcia came through once again with another RBI-double to give the O's another huge insurance run.

Rains comes out and pitches a perfect ninth to get the complete game win and give the O's their fourth consecutive title.
