In his first game as a Colt .45, rookie Troy Milton hits a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to beat the Marlins (7-10) 4-5.

Starting pitcher Evan Nakagawa pitched 4 innings of 2-hit ball striking out 6 batters before he had to leave because of elbow discomfort. At the time of his departure, the Colt .45s were up 3-2 behind Micheal Pence and Evan Nakagawa to create 3 runs in the 4th inning.

Micheal Pence came into the game in the 5th inning and gave up 2 unearned runs behind an error by 2nd baseman Matt Labbie. With the game at 4-3 in the 6th, Dan Cheong hit a solo home run to tie it up 4-4. Pence, and the defense, became dominate the remainder of the game. Pence allowed no earned runs, striking out 10 batters, tying the franchise record.

The game entered the 11th inning and both teams knew it was the last inning due to the time limit. New outfielder Troy Milton led off the top of the 11th and hit a 350 foot shot to right field ending the game. The team jumped on Milton as he entered home and won the game with a walk-off.

This was Milton's first game with the Colt .45s, and he went 2-4 on the day. Colt .45s pitching was dominate again, striking out a franchise record 16 batters and only allowing 4 hits in 11 innings.

Mariners came back from an early 4-0 deficit to establish a 9-5 lead. Going into the bottom of the seventh at 9-6, the Phillies mounted a rally, culminating in a steal of home for the tie.

Mark Rodriguez made a nice comeback on the mound for the M's after a shaky first inning, and Bobby Camarena was tough in relief, striking out the final two hitters to preserve the tie.
