The Colt 45's broke their single game hits record with 18 hits in a 14-2 win over the division rival Nationals. Game 1 of the doubleheader was headlined by Gabe Soza's record 4-4, PJ Phillips Jr.'s 3-4, and Matt Erlick's 3-3 performances. The trio combine to go 10-11 in Game 1.

Evan Nakagawa also looked flawless pitching 4 shutout innings striking out 6 and only allowing 1 hit.

Game Two was a pitchers duel between Colt 45's pitcher Marcus Pollard and Nationals pitcher Daniel Lopez. Both pitchers pitched excellent in the game. Pollard pitched a complete game shutout going 7 innings only allowing 3 hits, striking out 5.

The Giants jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before the Blue Jays scored 2 in the 5th to cut the lead to one. The Giants responded in the bottom half of the 5th when Chris Chambers hit his 2nd home run of the game to give the Giants a 6-2 lead.

Mike Denevi threw a 4 hitter with 6 K's enroute to a 12-2 Giants win.

O's jump out to an early 5-run lead in the first, only to see the Padres come right back and get 5 runs in the bottom half. This would be indicative of the kind of games the two teams would play.

O's take the lead with another 5-run inning in the fourth and extend the lead by adding single runs in the 5th, 6th, and 8th.

Padres hung tough and brought the tying run to the plate in their final at-bat. However, Chris Rains came in and retired the next three hitters to secure the win and earn the save.

After a grueling morning game, the O's found themselves trailing the Padres 13-5 by the fourth inning. However, O's take the lead by scoring 9 runs in their half of the fourth and never looked back.

Eddie Garcia pitched effectively in relief and gets the win. O's survive another pair of dog fights in the heat.
