Making his first start of 2012, B. Siefert was able to settle down after a rough first inning and pitch his way to a complete game win.

O's offense finally erupts with a seven-run seventh to take their first lead of the game. Orioles banged out a total of 23 hits, with 3 HRs on their way to the big win.

A sick Paul Codiga gutted out 8 innings and Jim Bellew pitched the ninth, escaping a bases loaded one-out jam, to earn the save.


The Rays won the hit battle 16-13 on Sunday, but couldn't push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 9-8 to the Braves at Gunderson.

Chris Scaduto had a hot bat for the Rays. Scaduto went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Woo, Bellew, Lee and Firato helped lead the Braves. They combined for nine hits and six RBIs.

The Braves stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring four runs on two doubles and two singles.

One run in the top of the second helped the Rays close their deficit to 4-1. A sacrifice fly by Patrick Battiste sparked the Rays' rally. But, Condiga got Ed Reyes to ground out to end the inning.

The Braves brought home two runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the fourth, the Braves scored on an RBI single by Lee, bringing home Bellew.

The Rays scored four runs in the top of the fifth to cut their deficit to one. A walk by Gilbert Ramirez, a walk by Mito Guel, and a two-run single by Bryce Shepherd gave the Rays life. The Rays threat came to an end when Condiga finally got Jamal Fulton to fly out.

The Braves increased their lead with two runs in the fifth. A clutch scored Rodrigues to open the scoring in the frame.

One the Rays run crossed the plate in the top half of the eighth, making the score 9-6. An RBI single by Shepherd triggered the Rays' comeback. Finally, Codiga induced an inning-ending from Battiste, right after Jamal Fulton scored.

Two runs in the top of the ninth helped the Rays close their deficit to 9-7. An RBI single by Scaduto fueled the Rays' comeback. But, Bellew got Shepherd to ground out to end the game.
