The Rays lost 12-1 to Knights Sunday at Los Gatos despite Carlos Noriega's three-hit day at the dish. Noriega got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the second, fifth, and seventh innings.

Knights jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second. A double by T Figg, scoring J Wilkin started the inning off.

The Rays scored their only run of the game on an RBI single by Charles "Chuck" Rivera in the fifth inning.

Knights tacked on another nine runs in the eighth. C Chambers kicked things off with a single, plating R Yick and B Lawson. That was followed up by B Sharpe's triple, scoring F Olmos and Chambers.

Bryce Shepherd did all he could to give the Rays a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Knights, as the Rays lost 9-5 in seven innings at Los Gatos on Sunday. Shepherd racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rays. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Knights were sparked by C Chambers and B Sharpe, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.

In the top of the first, the Rays grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A triple by Shepherd, scoring Mito Guel and Gilbert Ramirez started the inning off. The Rays then tacked on more runs when Shepherd scored on an RBI single by Jamal Fulton.

Knights never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring four runs on a sacrifice fly by D Evert, two singles, and a steal of home by Tony -.

Knights pushed across one run in both the third inning and the sixth. In the third, Knights scored on a solo home run by Chambers.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fifth, the Rays faced just a 5-4 deficit. A solo home run by Ramirez sparked the Rays' rally. Knights stopped the rally after Evert got Guel to ground out.

Knights quickly matched the Rays' strong inning with a three-run inning of their own in the fifth. Knights scored on an RBI single by T Figg, a sacrifice fly by Sharpe, and an RBI single by Evert.

After pushing across one run in the top of the seventh, the Rays faced just a 9-5 deficit. An RBI single by Hal Levin fueled the Rays' comeback. But, Evert got John Culbertson to single to end the game.
