First place Tigers played two great games winning 14-3 and 2-0 in the nightcap.
Rebuilding Blue Jays had some performances of note. Doan Sabajo mixed up his knuckle and curve and threw 7 brilliant innings in Game 2. Mike Barnes one of the better players in the league had no problem hitting on the day going 4-6 with two homers and two doubles.

Pirates took advantage of a very sluggish defensive effort by the O's.
With a slim 8 - 7 lead, Bucs put up four additional runs in the fifth to take a comfortable 12 - 7 lead. However, O's answer back scoring 3 in the bottom half of the fifth. After holding the Pirates to no runs in the top of the sixth, the O's win the game in walk-off fashion.
S. Chase pitched 4-2/3 innings came out with the Win.
