The Reds looked to bounce back from a Game One pounding that ended in the Mets winning via the "mercy rule".

Player/Coach/GM José Medina took the mound against Mets Player/Coach Brian Feduk. Both players showed their respective teams how tough they can be. Medina emerged the winner throwing a complete game allowing 10 runs (9 earned) and striking out 2.

Reds slugger Hector Esparza went 3-for-3 with 2 solo HR's, BB, SB. Steve Goldberg ended the game in the bottom of the seventh with a walk-off homerun.

This game started off with Hernandez 2-run bomb in the 1st inning to get the Astros to 2-0 lead.

The Royals flipped the script in the 5th on 9-hole hitter Ryan Becks 2-run bomb to right to take the lead back. From there the Royals tacked on 10 runs in the next 2 innnings to make this a 14-4 victory after 7.

The Royals had a full team effort as Nick Rizzi collected his first 2-hit effort on the year, while Brian Thomas left the yard in style for his first jack. Justin Kuehn had 3 hits of his own to chip in on the 12-hit affair.

Alex Law threw 6 strong innings holding the Astros to 4 runs. Ryan Becks closed out the 7th to seal the deal.

Good luck to the Astros in the playoffs and congrats on a great year.

Sidenote, Royals were tickled to be able to pitch off a mound other than De Anza...Thank you Gilroy!!

Afternoon's game was a much tighter affair.

Chase pitched efficiently for the O's relying on his defense for quick innings on his way to the complete game win.

With the sweep Orioles secure top spot in the League's most competitive division.

White Sox jump out to a 4 run lead through the first 3 innings.

Anemic Red Sox bats come alive in the bottom of the 4th with an 11-run inning highlighted by Tony Andersons 3-run bomb over the left field wall followed up by a solo shot two batters later by Kevin Angelinovich.

Both White Sox and Red Sox would tack on another run each later in the game.

Dan England picks up his second win of the year going the distance striking out 10.

White Sox start off quick getting two runs in the 1st.

Red Sox get on the scoreboard with one in the 3rd, only to have the White Sox counter with another in the bottom of the inning. Red Sox put up 3 more in the top of the 5th and hold the lead until the bottom of the seventh when the White Sox tie the game on a triple by Rogers followed by a ball in the dirt that gets by the Red Sox catcher to score the winning run.

It was a good day of baseball. The White Sox never gave up all day long and it paid off for there 2nd division win.
