A couple defensive mistakes at the wrong times propelled the Indians to the tame 1-run victory.

Guy Giuffre tried to get the Blue Jays back when down by 8 runs by bombing a Grand Slam and 3-run homer in his final two at bats, but his rally fell short.

A day of tired arms and great times for both teams.

8-0 after 8 innings as the Cubs scrapped for 2 runs in the 9th.

Joe Canter was the man going 8 strong shutout innings with 5 K's and only 3 singles allowed! Joel Salvatierra and Randolf Sandoval led the Royals combining for 5 hits and 4 RBIs.

Royals were solid today picking up another win vs the Cubbies. Eric Pini was the starter that shut the Cubs down this time going CG 7 innings and no charged runs to improve his record to (3-0) on the year. Pini worked quickly and Game 2 finished under 2 hours!

Offensively, Tauscher, Salvatierra, Gersey, Hutchison, and Becks provided all the run production! Alex Law gets his 1st hit of the year in a pinch hit effort now batting .1000!

The A's Jason Hersfield pitched an excellent complete game walking no one and striking out 6. Offensively, the A's put up 6 Runs in the 1st inning and played a solid defense for Hershfield.

Mike Taylor had an amazing day pitching and hitting. Mike pitched a solid 5 inings in a short game allowing just 3 hits, striking out 3. At the Plate Mike hit 2 home runs, both over centerfield and had 5 RBIs for the game.

The A's bats are heating up winning 3 straight in crucial must win games.

Absolutely the ugliest MSBL game played ever!

Neither side pitched well, many walks, sloppy base running. Astros scored enough runs to hold on in a short game due to time limits.

Matt Orvick hit a Grand Slam in the first inning.
