This game was close through the 5th inning with the Rays up 9-8.

Mito Guel made a great double-play in the 6th inning as he caught a fly ball in center field and threw out the runner tagging-up from third base. Then the Rays scored 3 more runs in the 7th inning to secure the win.

Travis Bearden and Eric Pini locked horns for the second time this season. Both pitchers battled into the 7th playing a one run game at the time. Royals looked to the pen in the 7th while Bearden rolled on.

6-4 Mets into the 9th when Royals tied it up on a couple of timely base hits. Mets rallied in the top of the 10th scoring 5 to take a lead of 11-6. Another couple of hits scored another Royal run in the bottom but it was not enough.. Mets win 11-7

Balls were flying out of the park left and right. 10 home runs on the day between the two teams.

11-1 Mets into the 5th when the always resilient Royals woke up! 7 hits keyed by Hutchinson's grand slam made a lot more of game out it. Royals scored 8 runs in that inning to make it 11-9.

Royals continued to battle scoring one in the 6th to make it a one run ball game. Mets answered in the bottom scoring the eventual winning run.

Royals, once again, did not lay down battling in the top of the 7th they scored a final run to end the game at 12-11 Mets.

Tight contest with the M's up 2-1 until the 4th inning when the Pirates scored 4. The Mariners added on in the 5th and 6th.

Nice relief work from Adam Arrenondo got the Bucs the win.

Very crisply played pitchers' duel, as there were just eight hits combined by both teams. Pirates' 4 two-out runs in the fourth prove to be the difference.
