The Blue Jays trailed 7-1 in the 5th. With the bases loaded, Dan Ferreira left the yard in dead center closing the gap to 7-6.

The Cardinals rallied back for a 9-6 lead, but the Jays tallied runs in the 6th and 7th. Then in the 8th, thanks in part to 4 walks, the Blue Jays pushed a pair of runs across to win it.

Mike Pramuk faced 6 batters in the final two frames without allowing a base runner while the Jays rallied to earn the victory.

A Cardinal team missing several starters gave the Blue Jays all they could handle but the Jays pulled out a victory in the bottom of the eighth (time limit).

Another 1 run win for the Blue Jays. Dan Ferreira scattered 3 hits and struck out 9 in the 7 inning affair. He also went 2-3 with a double.

The game was tied at 1 until the last inning. Mike Pramuk singled and was balked to second. With 2 outs Jerry Hoffman laced a double to right center knocking in the winning run. Ferriera shut down the Cards in order to end the game.

The Jays now 12-2 in division play clinched the #1 seed for the playoffs.

Garnica and Warcken pitch a combined gem holding the mighty Blue Jays to two runs (1 unearned). Cards, still missing key starters, battled hard all day.

Cubs Ace Joey Kies was on fire on a hot afternoon. The Cubs had 15 hits and 8 walks to get the 10-run rule win.

Blue Jays came into the game on a roll after just beating the 1st place Reds earlier in the day only to stink up the joint in their second game of a split DH.

Taking nothing away from a good performance by the Cubs, the Blue Jays combined poor pitching, lousy defense, and getting only 6 hits which led to their demise. The only bright spots for the Blue Jays were Ben Hartshorn's 2-run HR and Andy Sanchez collecting 2 of the teams 6 hits. Cubs wanted the game more and did what they had to do to stay in the playoff hunt. Good job Cubs!

After the White Sox built a comfortable 9-2 lead through 5 innings, the Red Sox erupted for 9 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. C. Jensen smashed a three-run homer, and K. Angelinovich followed it up two batters later with his own two-run shot. The Red Sox added 2 insurance runs in the bottom of the 7th inning, and D. England closed it out by retiring the White Sox in order to secure the victory.

The White Sox started off strong in Game 2 with three singles and a walk, which scored a run, and still had the bases loaded with nobody out. C. Jensen struck out the next three hitters, ending the possibility of a huge inning.

C. Jensen helped himself out at the plate by hitting his 2nd home run of the day, this time a two-run shot.

The White Sox battled back from a 5-1 deficit and made it close with 2 runs in the 5th and a run in the 6th. The Red Sox added an insurance run in the 7th and held on for the win.
