The Defending Champs improved to 3-0 as they swept the Cubs this past Sunday. Adam Paredes earned his second win of the season in Game 1 throwing 7 innings with 6 strikeouts.

Steve "Goldy" Goldberg made his season debut by going 2-for-4 and scoring 2 runs while Rudy "Blue Chip" DeAnda added 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Hector "Big Kahuna" Esparza added two of the longest singles in Reds' history by smashing two balls off the wall that ricocheted halfway back to the infield. How's about unhooking that trailer Kahuna?

Game 2 was a pitcher's duel as the Cubs held the Reds to 4 runs. Thomas Gersey made his Reds debut by earning the complete game win and just narrowly missing the shutout.

Jamie Ybarra, Chris Bjerke, and Bob Straight combined to limit the A's to 1 run in 9 innings and Rob Sanchez hit a 2-run double in the 7th to secure the victory.

Phillies jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the bottom of the 2nd on 12 hits.

The Blue Jays rallied back with 6 runs in the 5th and 6th with a pair of 2-run homers by Hartshorn and Smith. Andrew Kutsenda put in a great relief effort but it was not enough as the Phillies added 2 more in the eigth to seal the win.

Phillies started off strong with 6 runs in the 1st and 3 more in the 2nd to take a 9-3 lead.

The Blue Jays battled back with 11 runs in the next four innings and won the game with a 2-run single by Wallinger in the bottom of the 6th (game ended due to time limit).

This was a great game. The Phillies are a team to be reckoned with, and the Blue Jays never say die attitude should never be counted out!
