San José Municipal Stadium — With two outs and Jeff Arroyo (Yankees) on second base, pitcher Jesus Gaona (Brewers) took his stride to the plate when the crowd was suddenly hushed by the sound of Gaona's arm snapping. The Base umpire (Jim Frazier) described it "like a piece of wood cracking".

Gaona laid on the mound for some 15 minutes before EMTs arrived. Players immediately surrounded Gaona and brought ice cold drink bottles to try to reduce the swelling. The game was delayed for some 20-30 minutes while EMTs attended to Gaona on the mound.

Gaona gave a thumbs up while being taken off the field.

The latest update from Brewers manager Jim Hadley was Thursday the 23rd. Jim said Jesus has a spiral fracture and is having surgery on Friday.
