Aptos - Game 1
Cardinals 9
Blue Jays 3
WP: Mitchell.
HR >> Cardinals: Garnica, Young (Grand Slam). Blue Jays: Panelli.

Mitchell pitches a CG gem! Holding the Blue Jays to zero runs until the 8th inning.

Fairly tight game up until the 7th inning when Garnica blasts a huge Home Run to add some insurance. Young came up later in the inning and Iced the game with a Grand Slam.

Great defense played by the Cards all day. Mike Garnica and Mike Hicks had the defensive play of the day as with only one out they combined to gun down a runner tagging up from second before a tagging base runner from 3rd could score, DOUBLE PLAY, END OF INNING!

Cardinals:
Mitchell (2-5), Young (1-3, Grand Slam, 4 RBI), Garnica (2-3, HR).

Aptos - Game 2
Blue Jays 6
Cardinals 7

Cardinals Win Series 2-0.

WP: Garnica. SV: Hicks.
HR >> Cardinals: Hicks ( Grand Slam).

Jays had the Cards on the ropes for the first 7 innings, a few scattered hits but no runs.

Cards load the bases in the 8th, Jays make a pitching change and Mike Hicks wastes no time sending the first pitch over the fence in left field for a Grand Slam. With one swing the Cardinals took the lead for the first time in the second game. Cards add a few more insurance runs and it turns out they needed everyone of those extra runs as the Blue Jays mounted a serious comeback, but fell just a little short in the bottom of the 9th.

Good pitching on both sides. Jon Norris starts for the Cardinals and gives up only 1 run in 6 innings. Garnica gets the win. Hicks gets the save.

Cardinals:
Hicks(3-4, Grand Slam, 4 RBI), HU (3-4, 2B, RBI), Suzuki (1-3, RBI), Arsenault (1-3, RBI).
