The Giants jumped out to a 4-zip lead in the first against Tom Smith, but the Blue Jays battled back. Smith allowed only 2 runs the rest of the way as the Blue Jays scored 2 in the 5th, 2 in the 6th to tie it at 6-6, and won it in the final frame when Mike Park bunted for a leadoff single, stole 2nd and scored on Donn Sabajo's drive to right center. Terrific game.

Riall Moore throws a complete game 6-hit gem in a very tough, competitive game between two veteran teams! The A's came back from a 3-0 deficit by scoring 4 runs in the 4th including two runs on Brotherton's two-out single up the middle.
Moore held the Indians bats the rest of the game.

While the A's pitchers kept the Indians at bay with a no-hitter through 5 innings, Villanueva and Bjerke combined on a 3-hitter (1 earned run) for the victory.
Kephart's bases-loaded, two-rbi single in the bottom of the 6th was the Indians 1st hit and tied the score. Villanueva followed with the game-winning sac fly that highlighted the 6-run rally.

Pitching depleted Cardinals had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find starter Phil Young. Young pitched the first 2 holding the White Sox to just 3 runs. Utility man Steve Arsenault came in to pitch 3 scoreless innings to preserve the win.
Cardinals offense remained red hot as every player in the line up got at least one hit. Special note goes to Gamma Gomez who bashed a huge home run, his first of the year.
