Great game by both teams. Pat Crema pitched another great game holding a strong hitting Tiger team to two runs.

Tony Casanova started scoring runs for the A's with a 2 RBI single in the first inning. Mike Smith had a 2-for-4 day along with great plays at shortstop. Bill Fanara had a good offensive day going 2-for-4 along with some interesting base running.

The Pirates came back with 3 in the bottom to take the victory.

The Mariners mounted a 7th inning rally, roaring back from a 5-0 deficit in the last two innings. They had the tying run at 3rd when the last out was made.
