Red Sox had 18 hits in a comeback that was 6-0 at one point to take one in the 9th from a tough Blue Jays team.

Don Davenport was an emergency starter going 6 2/3 for the Jays. Mike Barnes relieved yielding a pair of runs in the top of the 7th, but the Blue Jays rallied for two in the bottom of the final frame, ending with Barnes' game winning hit.

The Red Sox played with 8 after a mid-game injury to Bryden and still managed to take a 6-5 lead before falling in the bottom of the 7th in another great baseball game. Ballentine pulled a Kelly Leak and was a ball hog as a roving SS/2B.

Much better played than Game 1, and closer than it looks. Riall Moore went 6 strong innings on the way to his 4th win, and 2-for-3 at bat. Matt Orvick went 4-for-4, and Mike Smith's 2-for-2 gave him a perfect 4-for-4 day overall. 5 more HBP's made it a total of 12 on the day over the two games. Ouch!
