Aptos - Game 1
Pirates 6
Blue Jays 17
WP: Andy Rodriguez.
HR >> Blue Jays: Don Davenport.

The Blue Jays had only 6 players and borrowed 2 Pirates. The Blue Jays would have had enough players, but on the way to the game, Tim Erwin collapsed twice and was rushed to Dominican Hospital. Gino Panelli was with Erwin at the time and called 911. After the game, several Blue Jays visited Tim, who was in good spirits, but the doctors couldn't determine what happened and Erwin will remain in the hospital for a battery of tests. The Pirates were awesome as the game began late and were very concerned about our player.

We would like to thank the umpires and the Pirates for their consideration.

Under league rules, the best a team can do is earn a tie when shorthanded. Thus, this game is considered a tie.

Donn Sabajo (3 H, 3 Runs, 2 RBI), Don Davenport (2 H, 3 Runs, 3 RBI), Jerry Hoffman (2 H, 2 Runs, 2 RBI).
